Haven swim booking query 2021

Going to haven very soon in next few days and it says we have to book swimming slots. When u go to do this online there's tickets so example one ticket is one person. Do they check this thoroughly? As there will be 4 of us on holiday 2 adults 2 kids so I would need 4 tickets every time we swim yet they only let you book 8 tickets in total which is 2 days

So basically my question is when u show up and show them the booking slot u have do they properly check the numbers etc?

We went a couple of weeks ago and yes they checked on entry.

IME yes.

In the two I've been to there's a desk at the entrance to the pool complex and they check assiduously.

It's always staffed because a) they sell stuff from that desk too, and b) they won't let the pool go above maximum safe capacity. Even non pandemic, the pools had an upper limit.

In one you could reach the outdoor pool if you climbed a lowish fence, but staff would spot that and deal with it.

I went to Haven last week and yes they do check your booking thoroughly. They'll have your details logged and ask for a phone number for track and trace. You can book up to 8 tickets on the app but can book more sessions at the park if they're available. There were 4 of us and we managed to book a swim session every day.

Surely the booking system is there so they can monitor numbers due to restrictions so it would make no sense not to check them on entry?

We're going to haven too in the next couple of weeks and i just received this email and I wondered the same! Good to know you can book more at the park if needed!
I obviously understand why they are doing it but a bit of a pain when you have a young baby and never know when he'll be napping, feeding etc!

You can book more sessions when you are there, the ones online are just the initial sessions.

Yeah they check. We struggled to get sessions on the app for most of the activities and just managed to book a couple of swimming slots but did find that there were still a few slots available to book once we were there. With the reduced capacity due to Covid its to try and give everyone the opportunity to go, rather than some people booking multiple slots.

It's to monitor safe capacity at all times. The capacity is rather lower during a pandemic, but it always exists. There is no way that Haven is going to permit a breach on the safety limits and they use the same method for keeping to covid numbers.

When I said selling stuff, it's swimming and other sports gear, plus any unsold slots remaining for that day only.

We have just come back and yes they check as they have a limit on numbers in the pool which they are not supposed to go over. We could only book twice for the time we were there as they were fully booked.

Ok thanks everyone I have just changed 2 of my days to 4 people so that's 8 in total which is all I'm allowed to book until I arrive

We are in Haven at the moment and one of the sessions was overbooked so half the people were turned away. It was carnage!

We went Monday to Friday end of May....the Monday the pool was closed....and the Friday was leaving day so only allowed 3 days for swimming anyway.....we got 2 slots....Tuesday and Thursday....you also need to book entertaitainment and soft play as soon as you arrive as these filled up very quick at our Haven
