Regular Lurker and rarely comment but live MN. I live in the south of Ireland and have a mortgage and work shift work. Both kids are adults and will hopefully fly the nest in the next few years. If I were to sell up and move up north I can buy 3 houses and be mortgage free. Idea is to rent out two houses and live in one. It would mean I wouldn’t have to work (my job is very demanding both physically and mentally) I’m thinking Belfast as I love Belfast and the people are so friendly and it’s a beautiful place. Has anyone made a move like this? What are the pitfalls etc. I’m interested in peoples opinions or if they’ve done it.
