To not see my mum. (Covid related.)

Since the lockdown has eased my mum has been hugging EVERYONE!
Not restricting how many people and being a bit picky.

She went to church on Sunday and they were having a special service and a group of them got together for a photo.....so she took her mask off “because it was just for a minute or so and I’m not getting my photo taken with a mask on.” THEN insisted on hugging the minister a few times....as he’s leaving....so everyone else was giving him hugs too. Some folks said to her that she was taking a risk and she thought hey were joking and said she didn’t care, no one was going to stop her hugging her ministerAngry

I’ve not seen her yet and I am on the vulnerable list. I’m now feeling not too fussed if she comes to my house now.

I mean she’s probably ok and not infected but I’m just so annoyed that she’s decided to disregard the rules now!

I think we're all over it to be honest

Is she vaccinated? Honestly the masks don’t do anything anyway. Social distancing means nothing if COVID spreads via aerosols in enclosed spaces (which it does) 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I’m sick of it too but a wee bit longer going by the rules could make all the difference between a return to a more normal and another lockdown. She can still pass on the virus regardless of if she’s vaccinated. The people she’s hugging haven’t had any jags or only one.

Rapid flow tests available freely, problem solved.
