Sounds like it was a fat lot of propaganda. I know several “anti vaxxers”. They don’t follow cults or believe in conspiracy theories and aren’t out to make money. They have, sadly, lost children or have severely disabled children due to vaccine damage.

Same here my mates works for the NHS as well and her son aged 10 was left disabled by the Pre school boosters and won her case too. Although it’s all very secret court isn’t it.

My son had his pre school jabs yesterday. I’m not anti vaccine and I know injuries are rare but still it happens but kids have all had them .

And as for covid one nope not for me not now. It can wait another couple of years minimum. No vaccine in history has ever been made so quickly and yes it has severe horrible effects one some even deaths. I wonder if the cure for a virus with a 98.7% survival rate will be worse. No real long term tests on this vaccine either so if you want to call me anti vaccine please do 😬😀

It's an amazing accomplishment, something to admire, not to be afraid of.

All the usual tests have been carried out. All the usual procedures have been followed. Many, many volunteers were tested in clinical trials before any vaccines were authorised for use on the public.

The speed has been due to factors like the number of scientists concentrating their efforts on one disease, governments agreeing to funding far more readily than normal and some steps being taken concurrently rather than consecutively. I can't remember the details but I have heard the explanation on several science podcasts and it's easy to Google.

One analogy I came across is to imagine what it's like trying to drive from one side of London to the other. For a normal driver on a normal day, it would take forever and be incredibly frustrating because of traffic jams, roadworks, pedestrians trying to cross the road in front of you etc. That's like normal vaccine research.

Now imagine what it would be like like if the queen needed to be driven across London. She would be driven by a highly skilled driver, be given a motorcycle escort, traffic would be cleared out of the way in advance and the journey would take a fraction of the amount of time. That's like the development of the covid vaccines.

I'm in my 50s, female, have a healthy bmi and have no underlying health conditions. If I caught covid, I would probably survive. But I have had both doses of the vaccine because I don't want to take the risk of not surviving. I certainly don't want to take the greater risk of being hospitalised and /or developing long covid.

But the most important factor for me is that vaccination reduces transmission. I don't want to take the chance of being an asymptomatic spreader and passing it on, especially to my mum who is in her 80s. Now that we are both vaccinated, we feel safe to hug each other and that alone was worth taking the tiny risk of suffering vaccine side effects.

I saw the programme and it was looking at the people leading the anti vax movement who made and are making millions selling snake oil treatments many of which are dangerous to people they have told vaccines aren't safe to..... self profiteering and misinformation to the vulnerable and scared. One of the shits sells bleach as a cure for autism - yet says vaccines are damaging! Bloody madness

It lost my interest when the focus shifted entirely from the C19 jab to MMR and Wakefield.
It really pushed the idea that everyone who hasn’t taken vaccines are brainwashed by Wakefield and vulnerable/ not very bright.
I opted out of many vaccines for myself and dc. My decision was based on a vaccination making my dc seriously ill and hospitalised. Dr Wakefield was not and never had been on my radar or given a second thought to

Their user name has been GoldPoppy, GoldenPoppy, GoldPop, GoldenPop, GoldPoppyway and GoldenPoppyway. Here are some of their pearls of wisdom. ........... Please note I am NOT advocating what they say, far from it. I am highlighting what is being said to scare people. And I don't understand why this individual is doing it. What are they getting out of it? Why don't they just not have the vaccine and get on with their own lives??

I've yet to meet a person who's had this 'virus' let alone died from it. Hardly a 'pandemic.' The gullible public are easily fooled by the Government's scaremongering and propaganda. This has gone on since day one, with the initial adverts on how the 'virus' easily spreads, to the latest adverts promoting these 'vaccines.' Of course at first, many did assume this was about a 'deadly virus', but as the months went by, the lies, the inconsistencies, it was evident that this wasn't the case. Everyone has done their part, worn face masks, abided by the rules and restrictions, with many now vaccinated. Yet the goal posts keep being forward and we're still back to square one. The truth of the matter is this has all been coordinated by world Governments, which explains the exact same response of each country involved. This 'deadly virus' is just a subterfuge for a socio-economic project, also known as The Great Reset, based on the idea of Klaus Schwab. This is about depopulation!

My father died of complications of Covid 19 last October. I wish there had been a vaccine available before he got sick.

It's not the 'flu'; 500,000+ in the US alone have died. It breaks my heart that my dad was one of them.

Stop spreading lies and harmful propaganda about the pandemic. Quit gaslighting and minimizing the catastrophic effects so many have suffered.

@beenwhereyouare And, for what it's worth, I have spent hours reporting that individual poster to the Mail Online, both their accounts and individual posts but they keep on popping up again with a different account, writing the same stuff.

There is no accountability for the spreading of misinformation, it seems.

I have no time for anti-vaxxers and have lost friends as a result, but I am an avid researcher of conspiracy theories, especially in relation to pandemics.

I worked in HIV prevention / health promotion in the late 80s / early 90s and witnessed the effects of Kremlin sponsored conspiracy theories happening in real time. It is depressing to see the same thing happening again re the current pandemic.

If anyone is interested in the similarities and common themes, some of them are beautifully depicted in a fascinating, well produced documentary from the New York Times about Operation Infektion, the KGB’s disinformation strategy that created various conspiracy theories about HIV and AIDS. The documentary also explores the astroturfing of BLM and pro-Trump activist movements, using a strategy of divide and conquer.

The thing is that the internet means that people can say that they are someone completely different to who they really are

The trolls at the Internet Research Agency are trained in how to portray themselves as a typical Brit or typical (insert name of country here).

The names used by trolls, whether online or IRL often have a very Brit feel. I am thinking of the name used by a notorious far right activist that combines the slang name for a British soldier with a second name indicating that he is the son of a quasi-mythical outlaw who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
