Do you crave carbs when pre menstrual?

I do, and not sure why exactly, but they definitely improve my mood. I've just had cheese on toast and feel like a new woman Grin Was so, so unreasonably grumpy beforehand.

Why is this? Why do starchy foods have this medicinal effect when hormonal?

Yes and it's not good when your a type one and desperately trying to eat very low carb (eying my daughters birthday cake as I type ) damn pmt

Saying that’s the reason for tonight’s dominoes order ... that and a migraine. Both symptoms of my bloody PMS week 🙄

When my period comes I am a new woman so it’s currently a countdown until then. Just feeling fat and very moody until then!

I heard a rumour that PMS and period symptoms are worse after the COVID injection...it was certainly true for me. This month was first period after Pfizer jab 1 and I was raging with carb cravings and hormones a lot more than usual. Anyone else?

Ah I thought it was just me !
I could sleep for 24 hrs solid too just before hand , and indeed have fallen asleep at bus stops , in the park ( sat down to tie boot lace and fell asleep for 15 mins ! ) on short bus / train journeys

I try to increase my iron intake the week before but it doesnt seem to help much

I get the "never ever full no matter how much I eat" feeling. Could literally eat all day just before I'm due. And yes the toast and butter cravings are insane! I could and have destroy a loaf of sourdough in minutes seconds

Yep and when post menstrual and peri menstrual, all in i would say theres about 1 day a month when a salad is the order of the day
