What family fun/days out do you do with your 9/10 year olds

I think what with covid/lockdown etc my DD10 seems to have suddenly outgrown quite a bit of the stuff we'd have happily done together previously. Everything is boring/uninteresting! (Although she would like to go to London and see a show and stay overnight - okay maybe as a birthday treat but the slight challenge of ££££ to do regularly!Smile)

At home she is happy listening to spotify, making up dance routines, computer games, reading and watching TV. But I'm keen to actually leave the house with her and her younger sister (7) and do a bit more now we are allowed to. What do you enjoy doing together? I'm looking for inspiration.

It's a really valid point. Too big for little rides/Lego land/ still too young for theme parks/shopping trips.

What we have found is she seems to be more than happy to do anything as long as she has a friend around. So even a day trip to the coast was easy when we took a friend.

Ten pin bowling.
Swimming.
You could maybe try a theatre show nearer to your home, and avoid the expense of a hotel in London!
Cinema.
Ice skating.

We still did the farm playground type things at that age, with a younger one.

Riding around on buses (which seems to be a sufficient activity in and of itself)

Great ideas everyone - thanks.

@4PawsGood we have till now carried on with the things you say - and I plan to definitely keep doing quite a bit of this. As actually once she's into it she enjoys it more than she thinks she will and don't want dd2 to miss out. Just want to add in a few new things too.
