Went to a child-centred attraction today, looking forward to some quality time with DC, fresh air, running about, etc. I'd forgotten about the queues, the crowds, the screaming babies, the overtired toddlers, the secretly destructive older children (breaking branches off trees etc), the manky loos, the overpriced ice-creams...
I'm thinking a walk on a trail somewhere and a sandwich is bliss in comparison! I can't believe I'd forgotten the gritty realities of a family day out. Am I the only one?
