When replying to an old thread for the first time there is a message that says something like "this thread is over a year old" so I don't understand why the same message can't be inserted above an OP on zombie threads that have been resurrected to save everyone's time in reading and replying.

Whenever I see a resurrected zombie thread I feel compelled to find the post resurrecting it to see why.

I admit once or twice I posted on a resurrected thread without realising how old it was, but I never was the first to resurrect a zombie thread (afaik) and I just wonder... how? What are posters searching to find them?
