Aibu to buy an iPad for my ds just so I can have more control over screen time? How are they for parent controls? is it linked to parent phone?
Roblox use has increased drastically because parent controls don’t work on roblox on his Amazon tablet.
Seems ridiculous to spend so much on one for a child, when Amazon ones are much cheaper.
In fact, aibu to wish id never ever bought an electronic device of any kind in the first place Hmm

They are pretty good TBH. We use Screen Time but there is also Guided Access.
We have a sightly older refurbished Mini for DS but we think we will get a newer one as well because it's getting a bit old and some apps keep hanging. DD mainly uses simpler apps or watches Cbeebies so she can use the Mini and not mine

I’ve ordered one but I’m so confused as to how to set it up. My cloud account? As I’ll want to use it. Or set up a child’s account so my son doesn’t have access to all my stuff

I think I'd read extensively before touching anything but we have a child account on their iPad and adult account on mine.
