Just seen this on a website, and thought it fitted some of the threads I have seen in the past

Batshit.

Namechangedlady · 25/05/2021 10:05

'I don't even know you or your daughter' 😂😂😂😂

Sparklesocks · 25/05/2021 10:06

People like that are ridiculous and need to get over themselves.

Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 25/05/2021 10:07

Am I the only one who would have replied 'well I heard you used it, I liked it so thought I would steal it'

MangoM · 25/05/2021 10:13

Wow.

That person should've turned it back on crazy lady.

Why did you choose Kay for your daughter's middle name? I'm asking because no one has ever done that until after my Mum was born. Wink

Geamhradh · 25/05/2021 10:14

Because Kay is sooooo unique.
Some people need their computer taking off them.
Batshit

20wedding19 · 25/05/2021 10:16

Hahahahaha

Merryoldgoat · 25/05/2021 10:19

You can’t do anything about stupid

x2boys · 25/05/2021 10:26

My 79 year old mum is called Kay I wouldn't say it's a new and unique name 🙄

Seeline · 25/05/2021 10:28

Kenzie Kay?!!

What sort of name is that?
missing point completely

TheKeatingFive · 25/05/2021 10:29

FGS. The arrogance. 🤣

CafeMochaVodkaValiumLate · 25/05/2021 10:32

Kenzie Kay Grin

littlepattilou · 25/05/2021 10:32

Agree with @Seeline 'Kenzie Kay?' Confused

NO-ONE owns a name. NO-ONE.

As I (and many other have said repeatedly,) there are many families with multiple Patricks, Pauls, Davids, Traceys etc...

People who cry off when someone uses the same name as they have for THEIR baby are pathetic.

x2boys · 25/05/2021 10:32

Mind you I remember s thread on here a few years back from s poster pissed off that someone else had stolen the name she had made up "Farrah " that thread caused much hilarity .

Checkingout811 · 25/05/2021 10:32

@Seeline my thoughts exactly. Although I once heard a Lacey-Lou being called in the park.

This is hilarious

Lacie-Lou. Grin

littlepattilou · 25/05/2021 10:35

I did hear a woman calling her little girl in the shopping centre, 'Miley Moo!'

I am hoping it was a nickname!

RuggerHug · 25/05/2021 10:36

I hope that childs surname doesn't also begin with a K.....

WhySoSensitive · 25/05/2021 10:47

‘I checked records and seen your child was the first to ever use the same so thought I should probably jump on that bandwagon quick sharp’

Checkingout811 · 25/05/2021 10:50

@RuggerHug unfortunately, I don’t think anyone who named their daughter Kenzie Kay will of thought of that.

Atalantea · 25/05/2021 11:01

I wanted my baby to have a one of a kind unique name.
I made up a name that I love. It's definetly never been used before.
(I realise this sounds dodgy already)

Anyway, my baby is 7 months old and someone in my town has just given birth and used the name.
I actually feel really gutted about it.

I realise I am about to be flamed in the comments.
BUt how can I feel less gutted about this? Meh

MmmmDonuts Sat 09-Sep-17 20:58:22
Wowee, I went for a pee then put the bottles in the steamer and came back to 51 hilarious replies. You've turned my rage into laughter- Thankyou. (Although I am still pissed off)

You will all hate me, I can't say the name as it will out me.

But it's definetly a new word. Not a crazy spelling of an existing name.
Not exotic or what some may refer to as 'chavvy'. Could pass for a surname I guess but cute.

Sorry.

My daughters middle name is really unusual.... its named after something very specific with particular meaning to me

I checked UK name statistics and because fewer than 3 children have been given this name in any year on all the records I could find on ONS (records go back to 1996) it doesnt appear at all. This means it is less common in the UK than Temitope, Penelope-Rae, Lumen, Cyra etc.

If someone I knew locally who knew DDs full name used that particular name for their baby I would be.... surprised....and would not think it was a coincidence! That said I wouldn't mind. It's a nice name or I wouldn't have picked it.

AFS1 · 25/05/2021 12:14

I thought we’d picked a pretty unusual name for our daughter. Turned out it coincided with a spike of popularity in our particular town. As a result, she’s never been the only one with that name anywhere - there’s always been at least one other girl with the same name in her classes at school, brownies, swimming club...

In secondary school she’s now shortened it, just so that she can experience life without having to add her surname initial when saying her name for once!

CatsPyjama · 25/05/2021 12:56

How did I miss that thread? 😂

My son has a name where there’s also only three per year. I think maybe 9 in the last five years?

If I heard someone else name there baby it who knew me it would make me raise an eyebrow but would probably make me smile that they loved it as much as me!
Our girls name is probably top ten though! 😂
