I have just heard the lyrics on radio 1 to this sing and one of the lines is:

"So there I go, oh
Can't make a wife out of a hoe, oh".

It is so so so vile. Why is this misogyny allowed? They bleeped out the worď but it doesnt make a.difference as its obvious what the word is.

Why cant they just make nice wholesome music.

Misogyny is alive and kicking in the music industry.

I tend to just mentally log these things and then not listen to the song.

I was in a bad mood anyway so when I heard it, I was particularly peeved.

It's just so objectifying and disemplowering for girls listening to the radio on the way to school "I need to remain pure so I win the affection of a man". Disgusting.

The word slut and ho should not be accepted in day to day language. I am surprised some posters are not offended.

It’s not old fashioned. You only have to watch Love Island every year to see how turned off both the girls and guys are by high numbers of sexual partners.

its not that the lyrics are cool, but whether it would ultimately even be a good thing if all songs had to be non offensive to everybody.
