To eat odd smelling tofu

It's biona, jar has a year Left on the date. Opened it and it just smelled odd. It was hard to open the jar so definitely not accidentally opened. Made the dinner as we have nothing else in. Will it basically be ok? Only me and DH eating, not children.

I wouldn't eat food that smelt weird, no.

DH has powered through. He didn't care. I've binned mine. Deliveroo for me when the kids are asleep...

Tbh I tried a few nibbles to see if it was just my mind playing tricks so.... just didn't want to risk the whole portion.

I wouldn’t. Not worth the risk for me but each to their own
