No, I thought the same when I was reading that Guardian interview. I mean, I'm not ripping my clothes off, shouting 'Take me now, Ed!' or anything, but he definitely looks better in those photos than he did a few years.

There are lots of men I wouldn't have been attracted to at age 18/20/25 that suddenly become attractive at approaching 40 ime. They look striking, distinguished etc.

I have a theory that men in their 40's go either way, They either look terrible and old or grow into their looks. My DP is nearly 50 and very hot. Looking at photos of him younger he was nothing to get excited about

I agree with you. Some definitely grow into their looks (or perhaps have a few bumps straightened out)

I don't know if it is the lighting but in this picture of him, he looks pale and drawn.
