Having a hard time being parent of a teenager with issues and also a pre teen, plus step kids. I am just crying tonight as I feel like such a failure.

Everyone in my house is upset and everything is related to the last thread ....and I have no idea why it was deleted!

Sorry to hear you are feeling like this, can you explain a little bit about what's happening to make you feel this way ?

I didnt see your previous thread op, but I've had a look back at some of your posts on other threads and it sounds as if you've been going through a hellish time over the last 18months.

From what I've read, you are most definitely not a failure as a mum.

Your step children are clearly hard work atm and I can see your dd has had major health problems - from experience, I know this can take some time to recover from psychologically, even if her physical health is alright now.

I'm really sorry about that, perhaps they thought you were making it all up? Are you having financial issues? If so, maybe they thought you were on the scrounge. Were you getting a pasting for the heinous crime of being a step-mother? Was there a bun fight at all?

I've seen your name plenty of times though - codswallop is a great word so it has stuck in my mind. Please remember that you can say one thing on MN one day and get slated, say the same thing three days later and it's amazingly supportive. AIBU is a strange place like that.
