No, it isn't "because she's a girl dog", it's because you can't recall your own dog!

We've been out for a walk today and a large lab came bounding up to us, no owner in sight, circling us and jumping on us. Man eventually appears saying "he won't hurt you, is it a girl dog? Yeah that's why he's jumping on you, hasn't been done yet." Right, so that makes it my fault.

Another day this week, a dog did very much the same, the owner wanders up and says "oh I lost her lead the other day, I can't stop her running off." Well buy a new lead then.

Yet another day, my dog was nipped and jumped on by a bull terrier type dog, another owner who couldn't recall their dog, and all we got was "she's just excited." I told them she should be on a lead and they replied they would report my skinny dog to the RSPCA (it's a whippet 😂).

No-one seems to have their dog trained anymore. It's every walk, and it's always "don't worry, he's friendly." After they've jumped on us and circled us to the extent to have to stop walking. I don't care how friendly you think your dog is, if it doesn't come back to you when you tell it to, it shouldn't be wandering off lead and out of your sight!

(ETA: there are lots of good owners out there who do have their dogs trained, I don't mean to upset you!)

YANBU, until the line where you claimed "no one" has their dog trained any more.

I realised how this sounded and added a comment!
