I find myself constantly blocking these people and I've never met them. I don't know why it irritates me so much but it really does.

I think it mean “what I’ve just said is so groundbreaking that no one could possibly be able to answer it so I’ll be waiting forever”, except it’s usually about something totally mundane that anyone could answer.

I’ve seen something like, “name a girls’ name beginning with E. I’ll wait.” Like no one could ever think of one.

It comes across as really arrogant to me.

Yuk! I saw one last week which said "Everybody's first job was in McDonald's. Prove me wrong."

Why would anyone engage with this sort of twattery? It's not interesting, it's not controversial - but there were 1000s of people posting their 1st job and tagging friends in the comments.

So many security questions are 'your first job', 'your first car', 'mother's first name' etc, so why do people volunteer this to strangers online?

I go and regularly just put a tiny comment on local business posts to help them up with algorithms 🙈
