I felt inspired by a thread about A and E and recalled a time when I was on placement as as student and was sent out with the ambulance service to see their role. We went to a man who had a fall at a family party and was pretty badly injured from it, all good but when the ambulance tried to leave three family members tried getting in the back with the paramedic. The man had supposed to have been giving them a lift home and they lived close to the hospital so thought we would take them. They were given short shrift!
