What exercises helped you loose weight? Especially stomach area

I’m struggling to find motivation to start making exercise a part of my day.
How do you get motivated?
What exercise do you do regularly?
Any tips on good exercises especially for the stomach area?

I found musclewiki.com quite useful for targeting areas I wanted to exercise! Unfortunately, you can't target weightloss in the same way...
I've stopped helping myself to seconds, and that has really made a difference! Good luck!

Specific exercises build muscle am i wrong? Eating less and exercising reduces overall fat levels... If I've not done anything for a while i find walking more (and sleeping and eating better) gets my energy levels up, which in turn leads to an excess of energy and an urge to go for a run

Spinning
Swimming
Body combat
Cross training

I do these regularly and my stomach and wobbly sides are drastically different.

Running a long way over rough ground, with hills. If you don’t love it I wouldn’t try it though: it is a time suck at weekends and when I’m training I’m basically permanently muddy.

Pilates has given me abs of steel but unfortunately I still have a stubborn layer of fat on top of them...

Aerobic exercise will help you lose general but not targeted body fat. I need to to do more myself and stop cardio dodging!

P.S. Look up the Pump It Up workout on YouTube - it's my favourite.

Heather Robertson, her six or 12 week programmes in her new website. She’s great. A mix of strength and cardio, with low impact (ie no jumping so easy on the knees) but you see the difference after a few weeks.

Only way I could find to motivate myself was to do it every.single.morning during the winter. That way I couldn’t say “meh I’ll have a day off”. I made ONE decision- to do it every day- and then after that I never had to decide again.

You can’t exercise yourself to a flat stomach without proper diet on top. Start with calorie deficit/clean eating and then chuck in the exercise alongside. My tip is to find something you enjoy so you stick at it. I have young children so enjoy the peace and quiet of swimming/running and also joined a local back to netball group. 30 min hiit sessions are good if you’re pushed for time (loads free on YouTube).

I lost weight just through walking as much as possible, but then the weight loss plateaued. I then dug out an old mini-stepper I hadn't used for years and a couple of small dumb-bells, stuck them in the kitchen and made a rule that whenever I am waiting for the kettle to boil and tea to brew or whenever I am waiting for food to heat up in the toaster, microwave or oven, I would use them both for a few minutes. For the first week it was pretty miserable but then it got easier and the pounds began to drop off again and my body really toned up. It's good because it's not too time-consuming or punitive.
