Aptamil dried milk tab broken. Shall I use?

I’m sure it’s fine but just checking on here what you would do. Tab is broken and scooper was at the bottom in my grocery bag. Just got groceries delivered. I just keep thinking what if it’s been tampered with. If it was accident my broken in transit I would surely find the broken tab somewhere in bag? It’s been taken off

If the tub was open in any way have them refund you abd don’t use it.

I'd take a photo of the broken tab/scoop loose in bag & contact your delivery supermarket to refund.

In all likelihood it's fine, but seals are there for a reason.

The tabs breaking off is fairly common (sibling works in a supermarket) - they're really flimsy. But the scoop loose as well? Hell no.

I'd ring customer services and get it refunded then replace it

Don't take the chance, get a refund. I've had to do it about 3 times, no one minded.

Wasn’t there a story about baby milk being tampered years ago? Not sure where it was. Yes I’m not going to take the risk. So bloody expensive too I’m so annoyed if they don’t refund

I've used one when the tab was broken but the foil inside was fine. I checked all the packaging carefully and it was OK. The tampering was when the bottom of the tub was being cut to remove the formula and replace it with flour. It was done this way to not break the tab and foil. From what I remember, this happened in the USA.

They should refund no problem, the two retailers i used did straight away. It does happen a lot but it's not worth the risk. And as PP said I always check the bottom of the tub too
