Hello DH has been sent an appointment for the second vaccine. He phoned to bring it forward but it's still 12 weeks and 2 days after his first vaccine. He is not bothered but I am concerned he may not be fully vaccinated. AIBU?

Which vax? AZ works best at 12 weeks apart ((based on research so far))

Mine will be 12 weeks and 2 days apart (having the second dose this Sunday) as that’s the day the clinic is running. My Mum is one of those vaccinating everyone and they often don’t know how many of each batch they will be receiving until they arrive basically.

There was news recently that 12 weeks between doses of Pfizer improves immunity over 3 weeks (and I’m sure the two or three days won’t make much difference).

Please don’t worry, your body doesn’t set a timer that buzzes after exactly 12 weeks. He’s right not to be worried, the difference between 11 weeks and 2 days and 12 weeks and 2 days will be negligible.

It will be fine.
