500 one off payment from HMRC

Could anyone tell me anything about this 500 payment from HMRC? I know a few people who have received theres but I haven't heard or been sent anything?

Just googled it. Seems like it is linked to tax credits? Are you entitled to it? I'm not sure how you or if you need to apply.

Are you in receipt of tax credits?

If you are entitled to it via tax credits, it will be paid automatically so you shouldn't need to chase it up.
If you are on UC you won't get it as the sibgle/couple element already got an increase last year to reflect it.

You have to be in receipt of working tax credits.

You'd have got it by the 23rd April if you were going to, I think.
