Trouble is she only has around £300 to spend. Are we likely to get something suitable to play games on (Minecraft/ roblox etc) for that price?

This is at the lower end but will be decent.

That's not a gaming spec. But I'm guessing your dc is quite young if just for Roblox and Minecraft, in which case a standard pc will be fine.

(Gaming specs are £800 plus so don't go asking for that!)

Yeah I’ve been Googling and they seem to be around the £700 mark as a minimum. Yes, she’s only 9 so don’t want to spend a fortune.

If its just for Minecraft and roblox I doubt she'd need a proper gaming laptop.

I just bought an HP one for DS which was reduced to £700 and it is amazing so I think you should be fine with the one I mentioned upthread.
HP will be really good and games work well with a Ryzen processor. You wont need a dedicated gaming laptop but it does need to say in the details that you can use it for casual gaming.
