To eat an M&S ready meal curry box that's 10 days out of date?

I thought I'd put it in the freezer.
It's lurking at the back of the fridge.
I'm hungry.
I'm 8miles from the nearest shop (no deliveroo etc around here)

It's a bad idea, yes?
(it's chicken curry, potato and spinach curry, rice, all sep pots)

I'm surprised it didn't climb out of the fridge on its own

LividJabber · 15/05/2021 19:15

God no.

ThatIsMyPotato · 15/05/2021 19:16

Do you have anything else you could eat? Or a car to get something?

CheeseCrackersAndWine · 15/05/2021 19:16

I’m lax with dates but I wouldn’t even consider it 10 days past! Don’t do it...

Crowsaregreat · 15/05/2021 19:16

If eat it if it looks and smells ok.

Twenty2 · 15/05/2021 19:17

Why don't you eat it and find out, then come back in 5 days time when you can leave the bathroom again? Wink

QueenAdreena · 15/05/2021 19:17

I’d rather starve. You must have other food in?

ThatIsMyPotato · 15/05/2021 19:17

Just because it's M&S doesn't make it somehow resistant to going off

GreyhoundG1rl · 15/05/2021 19:18

No. It's chicken, what more do you need to know?

Sciurus83 · 15/05/2021 19:18

Nooooooo

Cantrecall · 15/05/2021 19:18

10 day old chicken ??? Please no

Motnight · 15/05/2021 19:19

Do it! And then tell us what happens 😂

Seriously. Don't.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 15/05/2021 19:19

TEN??

I’m lax...but TEN days? That would’ve been out for the fox on day 3.

aiwblam · 15/05/2021 19:19

Do you want to spend the night in the bog?

Foghead · 15/05/2021 19:20

Just bin it. 10 days is way out of date and the chicken will be rancid, probably.

You must have something. Even toast or cereal.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 15/05/2021 19:21

If you didn’t notice it at the back of the fridge then presumably there’s other food in there unless you are blind Hmm

MumofSpud · 15/05/2021 19:21

I am v v lax with dates (and would happily eat M&S yellow labels!) but I have had bad chicken from M&S before - ironically not from yellow labelled food!
Eat the rest but leave the chicken?

Kdubs1981 · 15/05/2021 19:22

Only if you want to die

HTH1 · 15/05/2021 19:22

Absolutely not. Maybe the next day at most.

ShitOnIt00 · 15/05/2021 19:23

Wow, no way!! Better have toast if there’s nothing else in!!

Stretchandsnap · 15/05/2021 19:23

I’d eat it to be honest

idontlikealdi · 15/05/2021 19:23

Good god no.

wingsnthat · 15/05/2021 19:24

As soon as you open it, the smell will hit you

osbertthesyrianhamster · 15/05/2021 19:24

I'm pretty lax but no.

georgarina · 15/05/2021 19:24
