To think Susan Mayer from Desperate Housewives is a massive cheeky fucker?

Light hearted not to be taken seriously just for laughs. Currently rewatching Desperate Housewives which I absolutely love. I'm on series three and watching the episode where Susan begs Gaby to go on a date with Zach Young and ask him if he would pay for Mike Delfino's lawyer to get him out of prison. I think that's massive cheeky fucker behaviour from her considering she didn't want Zach anywhere near Julie or herself because of his creepy behaviour in the previous two seasons but she's fine to throw Gaby under the bus when Zach is stalking Gaby!

There's also other examples of her horrible behaviour like when she got angry at Edie, Katherine and Bree for sleeping with her exes and preaches girl code but she never sticks to it herself she went out on a date with Edie's builder to make a point to Edie that she doesn't need her permission and she wasn't even interested in the guy! Then there's her obsession with proving Orson killed his wife and she broke into his dental practice and snooped through his private papers! She's always snooping around into other people's business as if she has the right to do so. Anyone else agree with me? Who's your favourite character and least favourite and why?

I agree. I never really liked her character but can't remember her cf moments much in detail until you mentioned the ones. I love Bree though.

I’ve just re-watched too. She was fine with Katherine dating Mike? I’m sure she also gave Bree her blessing to date Karl after the initial shock. To be fair most women would be quite shocked if their close friend started dating their ex husband.

Want to talk about awful behaviour then Lynette is by far the worst.

@shhplease I used to love Susan as a teenager but watching it now I think she's a massive cheeky fucker and a busybody I really don't like her. Gaby and Bree are my favourites followed by Lynette and Edie I was gutted when they killed Edie off

Bree is fuckin amazing. Susan is annoying and when she tried to stop her daughter going for that college internship thing because she relied on her ... disappointing.

Gaby & Bree are my absolute faves! Edie was a good character. I found Lynette really tiresome. Susan is an annoying busybody but somehow felt sorry for her.

Could never stand Susan! She was always my least favourite. If she was real I’d feel sorry for her daughter

Bree and Lynette are both amazing.

Susan is just useless and pointless and she grates on me Envy

@LittleBlackSox She was fuming about Katherine and Mike and she choked Bree when she found out about her and Karl and accused her of stabbing her in the back when Susan and Karl had been divorced for over ten years! Although Karl was a cheating asshole surely that was for Bree to learn herself the hard way?

I love Lynette but I don't always agree with her behaviour she can be very controlling but Tom can be a lazy husband at times and his behaviour over Nora and Kayla really annoys me he lets Nora walk all over them and expects Lynette to just put up with it! Nora is toxic and venomous Lynette did great when she stood up to her.

I absolutely love Mrs McClusky! She's brilliant I love her sarcasm and how blunt she is she never fails to make me laugh 🤣🤣

She burnt down Edies fucking house! I know it’s not real, but if it was a man that did that people would not be routing for him.

I like Bree the most! Hated her as a teenager.

Ha this has made me laugh! Haven't rewatched DH for years but think I will during my upcoming mat leave.

It's funny how characters that you loved, or didn't bother you, suddenly really annoy you when you rewartch. I have two prime examples - Carrie Bradshaw and Lorelai Gilmour! My God, how did I not realise how selfish and annoying they were first time around?!

@Thisgirlcando omg yeah! I know it was an accident but Susan shouldn't have just walked into Edie's house unannounced like that and the way she legged it out the back without alerting Edie or the guy she was in bed with is awful they could have been trapped and ended up dead! Then when Susan realised Mike wasn't even at Edie's she smiled never mind she just made Edie homeless and lose all of her possessions to the fire all she cared about was Mike not being the guy Edie was shagging when the fire started!

I know she was probably a psycho but I gotta say I also loved Felicia Tillman she fascinated me from day one and her understanding of human behaviour was spot on!

I just binged watched this and loved it all over again, but I realise I hate Tom and now think Carlos is the hottest husband! Loathe Susan and think Eva Longoria is a superb comedy actress, never realised it at the time but her scenes made me really laugh this time round.

Well the smoke alarm went out and you heard the guy say can you smell smoke? So they were alerted to the fire.

Im currently rewatching too! My favourite show of all time. Currently on season 2.

Agree with you re Susan. Bree is my absolute favourite. I remember the first time I watched it, she was my least favourite in the earlier seasons, but in the mid to later seasons I just absolutely loved her!

Lynette annoys me with the neverending whining about how hard it is with the kids, when they were at school in the day anyway! Susan annoying and clumsy, behaving like a child. Eva longoria very funny even if very dishonest lol, Bree is my favourite one.

Lynette was by far the worst

  • Punched her husband
  • Broke up a marriage just to be a saviour
  • Broke up husbands new relationship after she was left him
  • Threw Ida’s cat out during a tornado because she insisted she used Karen’s basement. The same women who then sacrificed herself to save Lynettes family.
  • Ruined her husbands chance of promotion
  • Fed a child chocolate milk as she thought it was inappropriate at work for a woman to breastfeed her 5 year old
  • Kidnapped a child in order for the mother to agree to daycare as it benefitted her.

@Wanderlust20 omg I hate Carrie Bradshaw! She's another cheeky fucker there was a thread on here about her a few months ago which was the inspiration for this thread. I used to love Susan as a teenager but now I really can't stand her!

Gaby has always been my favourite at least she's upfront about who she is. Carlos is my favourite husband he always had Gaby's back no matter what. Rex is my least favourite husband he treated Bree terribly, humiliated her and was adamant they were divorcing but as soon as he had a heart attack he wanted to move back in and have her take care of him! That was also massive cheeky fucker behaviour I would have left him on his own to fend for himself selfish arsehole!

Susan is the worst !
I’ve just finished rewatching and I can’t understand how in the last series when Mike gets killed because he stood up to the loan shark for Ben , why was Susan not mad at Ben it makes no sense, one time whey she could be justifiably mad at someone

Agree, OP. Susan made me stop watching DHW. Already watched the whole series before and I was happy to rewatch but my god!! I couldn't do it anymore with Susan.

Lynette is another CF but Susan was just hopeless - a 12 year old in a woman's body. Her daughter had 10x more sense than she could ever hope for.

Sadly, she started off likable but after a while, I wished I could skip her scenes.

I’m rewatching too. On the final season. It’s amazing.
It’s better than I remembered.
Susan is just silly.

Bree is calculated
Lynette is just mean, but resourceful
Gabby is so selfish it’s LOL
