Engineered oak v's laminate

Would you be put off buying a house if it had laminate flooring instead of engineered wood flooring?

House is higher end of the market where we live.

We need to redo the flooring downstairs in our house. Laminate would be more practical with our young kids. But thinking that we will be moving in a few years. What appeals most?

We have engineered oak. Not sure why it would be any less practical with kids.

I’d be pissed off if the floor was laminate because it would mean I’d have to replace it.
