To think this is a new kind of torture (lighthearted)

My neighbour’s kids have discovered a fun new game of bouncing on their trampoline while squeaking away on their recorders. My poor ears! Hopefully they’ll get sick of it soon?

Lol! You poor thing!

TheRavenNevermore · 11/05/2021 19:36

Deepest sympathies. Perhaps you should buy a cheap plastic recorder and practice early on Sunday morning? Grin

BoyTree · 11/05/2021 19:36

They'll surely lose their teeth like that!! It's stressing me out thinking about it!!

Coldties · 11/05/2021 19:39

Ohhh I wonder if one will start singing over the rainbow or three blind mice out of tune too along side the recorder and bouncing?

🤣😂 be careful what you wish for, it could get worse 🙈

Carishina · 11/05/2021 19:47

I don’t think they have learned a tune yet. At the moment it’s just bounce, squeak TOOOT!

Oh god that sounds horrific. And dangerous surely. For so many reasons - injury from the recorder or injury from their neighbours losing their shit over the noise!

AntiSocialDistancer · 11/05/2021 19:50

The hazard! I can hear my mother screeching about running with lollipops in my head!!!

I am the same

Sounds dangerous as well as ghastly.
Bet your neighbours love you too!

1Morewineplease · 11/05/2021 20:10

Apologies, I misread your post.
Poor you .

Glenthebattleostrich · 11/05/2021 20:12

I think its time for you to start playing some lovely system of a down or machine head for them to play along to. They can ask their parents what all the interesting new words mean.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 11/05/2021 20:14

Nice bit of Rammstein to add to your playlist too

Carishina · 11/05/2021 20:15

To be fair they seem like lovely children, and I’d never say anything to them about it. It was just a bit of an assault to the senses Confused

@Glenthebattleostrich and @BobbinThreadbare123 both excellent suggestions! I am partial to a bit of metal.

I will confess I have actually done this when the child next door took to playing a drum kit beside my living room wall at 6:30 on a morning and his father was having loud sweary conference calls in the garden when I was working with small children. He also called my daughter (then 9) a little bitch for playing football in her own garden so I did feel justified and our other neighbour found it very funny!

My ears are bleeding just reading that

You poor thing.

Although it may get worse if they learn an actual tune or if they have caught the musical bug and go on to play another instrument 🎻 🥁 🎺🎷📯
