I think my granddad is at stage 4 but I'm not sure. I'm trying to prepare myself, but at the same time I'm devastated.
He's been ill for ages he can't take more than two steps without gasping for breath, and has been in hospital nearly a week now and still no improvement.
He's fine if sat down on oxygen but he cannot walk anymore or even wee.
He's 81 and thinks he's coming home this weekend. Nothing's changed since the day he went in, and he wasn't on oxygen before he went to hospital.
He went to hospital because he was just in a terrible state. Sad

Sweetheart, you should be asking the doctors what their prognosis is. He may well be sent home on palliative care, or not. People here are only going to google or recount anecdotal experiences, none of which will be applicable to your granddad.

Flowers wishing you strength to get through the times ahead.
