Aibu for being unsettled over this? Sexism (?) in school...?

So last week my yr6 DD told me that after she complained to a teaching assistant, said TA told her that a certain boy was picking on her because he liked her.

I let it go and told my dd that the TA was wrong and inappropriate to say that ....but the more I think about it the more I think I need to report it?

My mum says I’m overreacting - perhaps I am?

Maybe address it with the TA rather than reporting it?

YANBU.

There's unlikely to be any point talking to the TA. It's highly unlikely that you'll change their mind. It's a very bad lesson to be teaching to the boys as well as the girls.

My daughter said that a female teacher told her friend to just ignore a boy calling her a slag as it’ll happen and she’s surprised this is the first time she’s heard it..they are 13
