To be concerned dance center is used as covid testing facility

I have just found out the community center my dd goes to for ballet class is also being used as a covid testing center (not on the day of her class). Should parents have been informed? I’m not sure if I want to carry on taking her there.

Up to you on what you feel safe with. Is it the actual centre or a temp building being used?

3scape · 09/05/2021 13:07

Why not? No disservice to thousands of community halls that survive thanks to volunteers and goodwill but that hall will probably be significantly cleaner than others as a result.

OwlBeThere · 09/05/2021 13:08

Presumably it’s cleaned in between to allow the dance classes to go ahead.

Betty000 · 09/05/2021 13:08

It will be the cleanest it’s ever been right now!

Clori07 · 09/05/2021 13:09

It’s inside the center in the same room that’s used for ballet class.

What danger do you think there is, exactly?

LIZS · 09/05/2021 13:28

There will be stringent cleaning measures between hirers. Probably mentioned on the website. If that does not reassure you, there will be a risk assessment by the dance school.

DelBocaVista · 09/05/2021 13:33

Why is this a problem?

Freddiefox · 09/05/2021 13:34

I would want to know how long the hall is ventilated before the other groups used them, and who is cleaning in between.

This. My main issue would be ventilation as well. I'd want to know that a cross draft was allowed to air the room for at least 20-30 mins after the last Covid test had taken place . Much more important than cleaning though I obviously would expect that too, particularly the floor as any virus would settle there in the absence of other furniture .

It'll probably be cleaner than ever.
