Do you think previously run-down coastal areas will see a new boom?

I know that Cornwall and other typical tourist areas have seen a major increase, but do you think areas such as Clacton will see an increase in buyers?

It would be nice if they had a tourist boom rather than all the properties sold to second home buyers.

My PILs live near Lowestoft in Suffolk, it's a deprived part of the country yet it's quite close to popular seaside towns like Southwold. It would be great if there was a resurgence in these areas, I'm not sure if it will happen though. I guess the tourist infrastructure (accommodation etc) isn't really in place even if tourists wanted to come?
