AIBU?

Have you ever been to a wedding where the bridesmaids have worn fascinators?

Just curious for the answers here, I always thought fascinators at weddings were for guests only, but apparently they can also be worn by the bridesmaids? Guess there is no hard and fast rule and you can stick a fascinator on your bridesmaids head if you so choose, but has anyone been to a wedding where they've actually been worn?

YABU: I've seen a bridesmaid in a fascinator.
YANBU: Never seen a bridesmaid in a fascinator.

I’ve never seen a bridesmaid wear a fascinator. However, I don’t see any reason why they can’t. Most weddings are so tediously off-the-peg that anything that creates a difference can only be a good thing.

Having watched every episode of, "big fat Gypsy Weddings" I've seen bridesmaids wear many different things.

There are no rules

I had to wear pearl clips once as a BM.
I don't think I've seen a BM wearing a fascinator but I I did see a pineapple thingy.

I've seen bridesmaids wearing fascinators but 20 years ago, when we were in the prime of weddings in my friendship group.

They're a pain in the arse and 'old hat' even for guests now imo.
