To ask for prom dress help?

Dd has a y11 prom.
We will not be visiting shops.
Please suggest sites with petite prom dresses. I am old and everything she pulls up that she thinks is 'expensive' looks cheap but most importantly isn't petite. She's less than 5' so there's no point buying something fitted where the models are all 6' as the boobs and waist will be in the wrong place.
All suggestions welcome. Her preference is black or red but there is flexibility on colour if frocks are fabulous. Thanks

Yabu to put this thread in AIBU

Why can't you go to any shops?
Quiz is good for prom dresses.

Ratsindahouse · 06/05/2021 22:53

What sort of budget op?

Dobbyisahouseelf · 06/05/2021 23:00

How about Chi Chi London. My DD has bought a couple of dresses from here for school events.

Ratsindahouse · 06/05/2021 23:08

I bought my daughter’s from Revolve

sorryiasked · 06/05/2021 23:11

Evening dress, cocktail dress or "alternative"?
And what's your budget?

merryhouse · 06/05/2021 23:23

Chi Chi looks quite good (and some of them are on sale, too)

Red lace

pretty but maybe too curtainish

love this one

I looked at Milly Bridal but they all appear to be either quite little-girly (not a great idea for the shorter woman) or decidedly... not so much

The one I liked most on Asos was a Chi Chi one Grin

ODFOx · 06/05/2021 23:39

Thanks. I've sent her the Chichilondon link.

I've posted in Aibu for traffic. She's petite and most websites and shops won't work for her. Also I am shrodingers mum: responsible for everything and yet excluded from everything.
All suggestions welcome. My taste is, apparently below par and I have concerns about her looking like a much younger child in the sexually provocative clubbing wear she seems to be choosing.

Don't need style advice: I need to know where the keen to fit in teens who are physically tiny (she's 4'10" at 16yo) shop. Thank you

You could ask on your local Facebook page if there is a seamstress who could make alterations or knock something up for her.
