Am I allowed to take my affidavit into the witness stand?

Sorry, posting for traffic in desperation.

It's a civil injunction hearing and I'm the Plaintiff. The affidavit (basically harrasment diary) is long. I'm concerned I will get confused about dates. Am I allowed to take my affidavit with me into the stand when giving evidence and being cross examined?

Help, please!

It sounds like you are in the US.
This site is mostly UK, so different system, rules, and terminology.

But there may be someone here from the US right now (or soon).

Can't you ask your lawyer?
Surely s/he knows!

Good luck with your case. Flowers

Thank you for responding.

I'm in the UK.

I will ask my lawyer but unlikely to get an answer before the day.

Thank you again.

Your lawyer should have done a court bundle, containing all the papers , you will have access to that if you need.

Thank you.

I have my affidavit in a little folder. Would that be allowed?

Take it with you to the hearing. There should be a witness bundle available for when you give your evidence. If there isn’t, you should be allowed to have your affidavit in front of you. It must be unmarked, though, so if you’ve annotated your copy, you’ll have to have a clean copy for giving evidence.

I’m assuming you’re giving evidence today, given the urgency of your question.

Get some rest!! (Not easy, I know, but try and get some sleep).

Thanks all!
