Offload your recent frustrations!

I ordered plants from Primrose at the end of March with 10- 15 day dispatch and I'm still waiting. Was told it was a glitch and they'd be here by today. Now I'm told I can't cancel my order as it's being dispatched. Well never again!

I'm obviously not unreasonable Wink so...

We would you rate and who has been below par recently?

Ordered a 2019 advent calendar from Glossybox in their Black Friday sale last year. It didn't arrive so I contacted them. Oh covid delays, it'll be dispatched within 72 hours, etc etc. I contacted them about ten times to chase, repeatedly being told it was on its way, before they finally cancelled the order in April! 5 months later! I worked out by about Christmas it wasn't going to arrive but just wanted to see how long it would take them to admit their mistake. I'd never order from them again. They didn't even offer me a freebie or a discount or anything.

Wow that's ridiculously poor! When they told me that there was an issue and I could expect delivery by today I was sent a 10% off code - like I'm risking ordering again! Angry

Currently in a dispute with Yours Clothing over returns. They are claiming one item wasn't in the parcel when it was but they've said they have a clear desk policy so it's not possible for their staff to have made a mistake Hmm

Opened a dispute with PayPal over it. Yours Clothing replied saying they'd investigated and were issuing the refund. Waited a week - no refund. Contacted them again and they've backtracked, reiterated the clear desk policy, told me the parcel was sealed when they received it so basically I'm lying about sending it back and they won't be refunding.

I've had to escalate it to PayPal to try get my money back.

Checked their FB timeline and there's at least 10 customers I've found so far complaining about the exact same thing.

On a positive note I've always had good customer service from Asda, ASOS and Feel Unique.

Oh no, that's rubbish and my greatest fear - even if you have proof of postage or whatever, how do you prove that it's all in there?

On a positive note, the plants I ordered arrived today, so despite the long wait, at least they are here.

GlossyBox customer service are terrible!
I've got a subscription which I bitterly regret.

All the plant and seed companies have been hard hit this year - some usually brilliant companies like Blackmoor Nurseries abd Sarah Raven have had delays, as well as Sutton’s and Primrose.

The entertainer.
I bought an elc wooden kitchen through them and it was damaged. I'm sure Vicky Pollard answered the phone. Told me there was nothing they could do. I was getting more angry at this point as the kitchen arrived damaged!

Anyway, a few hours later I phoned ELC themselves who within minutes set up a new delivery date for a new kitchen and to drop the old one back if I could to the entertainer. Well the girl at the entertainer (same one as on the phone) told me there was nothing she could do with it and I should either sell it or just tip it. Wtaf.

I loaded it back into the car phoned ELC who were bloody gobsmacked that she told me to bin the kitchen or sell it. He arranged for it to be collected.

IKEA kitchen. Took probably 100 emails and hours of time to get a slightly satisfactory outcome after a faulty kitchen. So frustrating- had to threaten legal action to get anything done. Won’t bore with the details.

Bensons For Beds. I needed a new bed for my bedroom in a loft conversion, and was concerned that it wouldn't fit up the stairs. I took measurements in with me, and discussed it with the staff. I was promised that the bed arrived in small enough pieces that it would fit, and if by any chance it didn't, I could transfer my full deposit, and buy something else.

Fucking liars. It didn't fit, no where near. It arrived in 2 pieces, so it obviously wasn't going to. They refused to exchange it for anything else, and refused to transfer my deposit. Argued round and round for months, with no one willing to even try to help, or escalate the issue. I will never buy anything from them again, thieving bastards.

YetAnotherWalk · 05/05/2021 17:41

@NeedNewKnees I realise but it's lack of communication. Both our garden centres have gone - one pre Covid and one since, so next time I need plants, I will go to one in person despite it being a distance

I don't rate Primrose either.
Got told that our order would be delayed then told it was on its way then got told , after asking where the order was, that it was out of stock.

Do you have proof of posting with the weight of goods returned? I'd be advising them that the parcel weighed x which included a b and the missing c product when you sent it back to them
