To lose more weight?

I’ve lost a fair bit of weight and am now on the lower end of the BMI scale. But my body shape is all messed up. I have saddle bags, a flabby tummy and 3 chins. But my legs and arms are really skinny - I look like Mr Blobby! I know you can’t spot reduce fat, but if I keep losing will it keep coming off my arms and legs? Plus might I end up underweight?

It sounds like exercise might help. It will certainly help tone up problem areas

Another vote for exercise. I wouldn't go crazy on the cardio, but do some strength training. You won't bulk up, it's really hard for women to make themselves look muscly.

Fleabagforlife · 03/05/2021 16:34

Is it excess skin? Exercise will help.

nellly · 03/05/2021 16:40

Is it actually body fat or excess skin? The way to tackle each would be different really.

Well done on losing weight so far it's not easy!

I am in a similar position. I lost approx 2 stone in the last year. I am right at the bottom of the healthy bmi scale but my stomach in particular is still carrying some excess weight. I do have a problem with loose skin too but I don't think that's the main issue. Meanwhile, my neck/ upper torso in particular is looking a bit gaunt. I guess exercise is the way to go but I do worry about slipping into the underweight category. It seems a bit of a slippery slope (being able to stop) after trying to loose weight in the first place.

Ironically I was just coming on to ask something like this - I am looking to do some exercise going forward but have a couple of back and ankle issues to resolve before I can do anything serious. I have lost just over 3.5 stone and am hoping to lose another 2.5 at least could do with more but this worries me - I am 52 and it is clear the collagen isn't so good anymore!! Happy to look at products that might help and also specific exercises around Mum tum and flat bum and fat thighs.

@Fleabagforlife pretty sure it’s flab and not skin, the saddlebags are definitely flabby Blush

Exercise and massage and moisturise.
How much did you lose? The skin cane take about a year to bounce to it's best.

Losibg weight if you are already slim bar these bits, would probably not be healthy.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 03/05/2021 18:58

I also take collagen from holland and barrets, just very small dose, and make sure to eat good stuff for skin.
It seem sto work so far🤞🤞🤞 i think i even lost some wrinkles which is funny because they were a worry because of how much am I losing🙈

Yes really good sports massage can really
Stimulate and help flush things out, plus it's great if you're exercising, just keep on it with healthy eating and exercise, the last bit is always the hardest!
