To not have done anything today?

I have a one month old and a family member asked what me and partner have been up to today, I said nothing we've just had Netflix on and we've been looking after ds (obviously) and she asked if we've been out, I said no and she said we can't just stay at home all day as it's unfair on ds and he needs to fresh air etc. It's been raining all day so we don't really want to go on a walk and we haven't needed to pop to the shops or anything.

Are we being unreasonable?

Your family member is whacko! You can do what you like. Home days are good too for settling bub and for you to rest!

ForeverBubblegum · 03/05/2021 15:13

You would be far more unreasonable to drag a baby out in the rain for no reason. Enjoy your Netflix

No. If it was a nice day I’d take him out for some fresh air, but not today.

SnarkyBag · 03/05/2021 15:14

Tell her you’ve opened a window and put ds next to it

You have a one month old. You can do what the hell you like. Especially as, if your one month old turns into one of those puppy like toddlers/pre-schoolers you will have to take them out every single day come wind, rain, freezing cold for YEARS and then they may well become a sports mad primary aged child and ridiculous amounts of time at the weekends will be spent on side lines, again regardless of the weather.
