To ask for help with uk holidays

We usually go camping but we would like to book a short break in july. Maybe a cottage or lodge, would prefer self catering pet friendly and if it had a hot tub, bonus. Would also do caravan but prefer to avoid haven type for no reason other than our dd is 15 so weve been there done that. I just want a bit of peace!

No idea where to go. Probably not cornwall or lakes. Must take dogs bastard jack russels

Can anyone recommend sites to find reasonable holidays. Don't really want to spend more than 1k but will at a push.

Have you looked at Hoseasons? Lots of options for pet friendly lodges with hot tubs. They also have a variety of sites, some closer to a Haven but some with less for young children which might suit your needs? One we've been too just had a pool, restaurant and small play area. It was nice and quiet too! Also Park Dean I think are similar but have never used them so can't really comment!

Your budget is really not realistic for a pet friendly, hot tub place in the uk for a week this year.

EveLe · 03/05/2021 10:23

Hoburne are excellent. They have hot tub caravans and lodges, and have pet friendly accommodation.

I think you’ll struggle to get a week in July for under £1k though! We’ve paid £860 for a caravan with hot tub starting 25th June - the prices jump massively from the following week.

Take a look at:

Hope this helps!

Starting to think the hottub can go! May be able to juggle dates to end of June so might be cheaper. Can stretch the budget a bit but rather not.

Found some cottages in brecon

I have a UK city based holiday apartment, and I'm getting inundated with silly requests through my lettings agency from people wanting to pay £15pppn or similar...

It's not child/pet friendly and suited to larger groups though.

LEMtheoriginal · 03/05/2021 10:47

Thanks for the comment circles but im not looking for a city break and have dogs.

@LEMtheoriginal Robin Hill Farm Cottages in Devon are lovely, good for couples and families alike. Found you a week in late June for £1065?

LEMtheoriginal · 03/05/2021 10:54

Thankyou pinot the dog friendly ones look great, as does dorset. We love it there.

feliznavidad2 · 03/05/2021 10:54

That's for up to 2 dogs and 4 people

LEMtheoriginal · 03/05/2021 10:56

I might be able to manage june, need to check with work but that will save some cash im sure.

We stayed in a forest lodge a couple of years ago which was lively, the holiday was a gift and out of our price range at the time. It was that that prompted the ask for a hot tub

You’ve probably left it a bit late but there is still some availability

If you are on FB try joining the Dog Friendly Holiday Accommodation group. It has 90k members and a lot of owners advertise there.

LagunaBubbles · 03/05/2021 10:59

I found a cottage in Wales beginning July with a hot tub, £800 cant wait! I'm in Scotland so it's our school holidays, price jumps up when English schools go on holiday. On holiday.cottages.co.uk

PedroPonyismyspiritanimal · 03/05/2021 10:59

Have a look on Vrbo for self catering places. We stayed in a lovely cottage in north Wales with a hot tub, we don't have dogs but i think it was pet friendly and under £1k last summer. If you're flexible with location you may find something.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 03/05/2021 11:03

just google dog friendly cottages?
most of the holiday cottage sites have pets/dogs as an option you can filter on.

PinkiOcelot · 03/05/2021 11:15

I’ve booked a lovely cottage in North Yorkshire for July for £85 per night. No hot tub and didn’t ask about pet friendly. I booked it a while ago though. It’s on AirB&B.
