Easter was great this year, wasn't it? I can only remember getting wet on one August BH - we climbed Snowdon and ended up in fog/cloud so thick we couldn't see each other.

Last years one was much better weather wise and we were all in the first lockdown! Usually bank holidays are rainy though.

ElGuardiandenoche · 02/05/2021 23:03

No rain here. A few clouds but no wet stuff.

It rains all fucking year even in summer. I literally don't understand how to live like this. It is destroying my mental health.

(Yes I grew up here. I never remember the weather being so shit all the fucking time growing up).

SoreEyes57 · 03/05/2021 14:25

It’s rained here for the full 3 days as well. Social distancing and rain make it so hard to entertain little ones! I know it’s a first world problem, but a bit of sunshine would have made it such a lovely long weekend Smile

Actually it's not rained down here all weekend but it's still freezing cold. We had warmer days in late February.

murbblurb · 03/05/2021 14:32

Last year we had a run of lovely warm April /may bank holidays. Except no one could go anywhere! You can be forgiven for thinking that there is a plot.

Stupid timing though, it would make far more sense to spread the days off out. Easter is a historical irrelevance and June is by far the nicest time of year.

Where do you live? The heatwaves in England last year were protracted and extreme, and this year has also been far too dry so far, we really need rain.
BiscoffAddict · 03/05/2021 14:43

Last year it was really nice on all of the bank holidays here.

lollipoprainbow · 03/05/2021 14:46

I'd rather it did rain to be honest being the misery that I am !!

SimonJT · 03/05/2021 14:50

Yep, we have been lucky though, we’ve been to the petting zoo, finished our alpaca walk and had our picnic before the rain started.

I’m sheltering in the camper while my husband trudges through the wood with my son and his little brother.

Takemetothebar · 03/05/2021 14:51

It needs to rain. The ground is concrete and if we don’t get some rain, the yields will be shite.

sweeneytoddsrazor · 03/05/2021 14:51

Yes you are wrong. It rains on my bank holiday off and is wall to wall sunshine on my working Bank holidays Grin

CurryLover55 · 03/05/2021 14:53

It’s spitting here in Cornwall but soooooo cold! Sat & Sun were really nice though.

I don't know where you are in the UK but it only rained one day in April where I live, and that was last Wednesday.

And last year was really dry for months. Also 2018.

However, if it's going to rain, it will choose a bank holiday.

FightingTheFoo · 03/05/2021 23:15

Well I may have overstated it but basically it's either raining or freezing. Continuously.

Today we went shopping and had to eat outside. I literally was sitting there in my winter coat, beanie, leather gloves trying to stop my food from blowing away while mud from nearby plants got blown into my teacup.

It's fucking May. Argh.
