I spoke to a lady I know, when I was coming home from school run, she said she's had her vaccine and have I had mine yet, she knows I'm ECV, I told her I can't have it, she kept saying I must, have it, we were 2 metres apart but she rushed back alot further. I said I've been through 10 different medical professionals who finally said I am not to have it as simply to dangerous even if I had it in a hospital setting. Apparently I must still have it to create herd immunity even though it has been deemed too dangerous for me to have it by medical professionals. If shes had her vaccine why is she worried, she's more risk to me as she can still catch it and pass it on.

Shes making a concerted effort to avoid me now. Feels like I am now the local leper 😕 I know I probably shouldnt let it bother me but it obviously is, lifes been hard enough with shielding etc and just trying to get on with life as best I can and safely as I can and make life easier in my children.

She's being completely ridiculous. The whole point of herd immunity is to protect people like you who would be very ill if they caught it but can't have the vaccine.

Please don't let her get to you.

I am vaccinated, but I would lie about it so people like her stay the fuck away from me. Perfect excuse not to talk to her again op.

The whole point of herd immunity is to help protect people like you who genuinely can’t have it

She's a dick. Be thankful she's avoiding you

SofiaMichelle · 02/05/2021 14:45

YANBU and she's a complete dick for not accepting your explanation.

I would take it that she's stepping back as she thinks it's in your interests, since you're not vaccinated.

Maybe I'm too generous though...

Bloody hell, OP. As others have said that is the WHOLE POINT of herd immunity: to protect those who cannot be vaccinated!
