DH is a high earner, we go on holidays, he spends three days coming down from life in the city, we used to roll our eyes at people who returned every year to the same spot, we found a place, we succumbed to the normality of it, and regularity of it, we love it.

Point being, I am now truly struggling to even visualise my most favourite of places, we have one booked and it is extremely to happen, and I am failing to talk myself through the trip from the airport to our happy place.

IN ESSENCE is your lockdown memory failing you re regular pre CV19 haunts....?

I think, for me, holidays aren’t just about the holiday, they’re the planning what we’ll do, what to see, places to go, eat etc. I’m in Sydney and we can go on holiday here and we went away in January but it was different because I had no idea, even in the days leading up to it if we would suddenly have to cancel if there was an outbreak, or if we accidentally crossed paths with someone sick.
It was good when we were there but the stress and lack of knowledge before has made me hesitant about booking another trip.
