Has anyone done this on themselves or their dc? DD7 wants a fringe, watched a few videos and thought to have a go myself and do it but I'm scared Blush

Aprilshowersandhail · 30/04/2021 17:18

Don't do it....

I cut my own fringe. It’s easy and if it goes wrong it grows back.

Look at some tutorials on YouTube.

Just take a bit off first to get used to the cutting motion and the scissors. Then do a bit more. It’s so easy!

How long is her hair that you would be cutting a fringe in?
I would be sure she wants it and start with a long one and if it doesn't work out it will grow.
Dd ( an adult ) her friend had a family member watch you tube and cut both her fringe and a fair bit off the length.
Oh trims my fringe and sometimes my son does it .
In fact dh is only after trimming it.

Watch the Brad Mondo video on how to cut 'bangs' yourself. I always do my own, never had an issue!

PerspicaciousGreen · 30/04/2021 19:04

Do it! But cut it incrementally shorter, don't try to get it right first time. You can always have a bit more off, you can't glue it back on.

Awaiting your pic!!

I dod it to myself on a boring evening in on my own in my student house when I was 20.
I went from a side parting to a centre parting with a fringe, and have stayed that way for the last 39 years

It was easy enough to do it myself, and would be even easier to do it on someone else.

I regularly do mine and both my daughters'! It did take some practise though.
