Popped into my local M&S food hall after work on Wednesday. It was pouring with rain. Did my shop all the while wondering why other shoppers were giving me strange looks. Got to the checkout and the cashier looked at me with a very puzzled look on her face. It was then that I realised that i'd done the entire shop still holding my umbrella above my head, whilst inside, browsing the shelves and putting items in my basket. I quickly put the umbrella down once I realised and told the cashier it had been a long day! In my defence, I am going through a bout of insomnia that has lasted 5 weeks so far, my brain isn't functioning at full capacity! :-D Please comfort me and tell me you have done something similiar!!!
