Help! Cut my fanjo. (TMI)

First off, yes, IABVU posting here but I'm desperate.

I was pruning my nether region, the razor slipped and made contact with my clit. Not enough to have me rushing to A&E/111/101/call an ambulance etc. but it's definitely cut, I can feel it and I'm wincing slightly with the pain. I've got a cold compress on it.

Wtf else do I do?! Sudocrem? Ice in a flannel?

111 OP! If it helps I'm an ex gynae nurse.

The genital area is very very prone to infection, you don't want that. Don't be embarrassed - we've seen it all before - ive even seen hair removal cream get in the wrong places and burn clitorises and labia minora Shock

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 29/04/2021 00:12

And stay away from the sudocrem until you get medical advice.

Assuming it's clean before the injury occurred, bleeding also cleans a wound so if it's bled a bit that's good. I wouldn't put anything on it, just let the air get to it and let it heal. Comfy cotton knickers and a skirt tomorrow so the wound doesn't get irritated at all. If it wasn't clean before the injury, boil up some water, dissolve some salt in the water, let it cool a bit then bathe the area with the salt solution and some cotton wool. If you can't touch it just trickle the salt water over the wound. Might sting a little but better than getting an infection. Hope you heal up soon!

Oh good I’m cringing. This is why I don’t shave my bits.

AdaColeman · 29/04/2021 00:38

Salt baths might be an idea. Widely used in the olden days on maternity wards to soothe and help prevent infection.

My razor cut

hotclothbuns · 29/04/2021 00:41

Posted too soon, my razor cut wouldn't heal for years and after a particularly bad 6 months of infection it only went after 2 rounds of antibiotics. So I would try to get it seen to sooner rather than later if I was you.

Contact your gp tomoro morning.

OldEnoughToBeYourMum · 29/04/2021 06:07

Thanks for the advice. It feels like a really bad paper cut Sad

This has been my biggest fear since first shaving.

Calling my GP this morning is going to be a fun experience!

Seriously don't be shy OP, they've seen way way worse without a rational explanation.

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 29/04/2021 06:10

Ouch it's going to sting Sad

Onesnowynight · 29/04/2021 06:15

Ouch!! Just remember they’ve heard it all before
