Posting for traffic! (sorry)

My daughter is 4 and has been in nursery since she was 2. Since she started she hasn’t gone a single term without catching a cold and cough, it’s a nightmare because then she is up all night coughing. They last bloody ages! She doesn’t catch other bugs or illnesses just seems to be constant coughs and colds.

She had a blood test and it has come back normal so it’s just her immune system but is this normal? I thought we would be coming out of it now but she’s still catching them just as frequent!

Also, I’m not moaning at all! I know it could be worse just wanted to hear about others experiences. Thank you!

It is normal. At her age I had cold after cold and so did my children. No sooner did we get rid of one than another started. Most of the kids were the same but it's a phase which they all outgrow.

Completely normal. My two DD’s were in nursery from being babies. There was a constant round of coughs and colds until they started reception. Both rarely get ill now.

Thank you both: it’s very reassuring to hear that. I do give her vitamins but they don’t seem to be doing much!
