DS (8) told me that some of the girls keep gazing at him in lessons. Other girls wait outside the boys’ loos so they can walk back to lessons with boys. Apparently they clasp their hands together and go “Ahh” when certain boys walk past (a la the vapid village girls from Beauty and the Beast).

AIBU to think this is odd at 7/8?

Even if it’s normal, shouldn’t the school be reinforcing that girls are the equal of boys and trying to create strong independent young women. Rather than letting them that moon around after boys?

I went to an all girls school and so this is all new to me. Essentially I dont want my DS to be treated like he’s something special by the girls - I want them to be equals.
