Thoroughly fed up with this

Today I was walking with a friend. A male cyclist sped past and just shouted at us scaring the living daylights out of us. I feel so cross about it because we were powerless to do anything and it was just so disrespectful. Why would you do that? If he’d been walking past us he wouldn’t have dared.
A week ago my 20yr old DD was on a run and beeped by a middle aged guy. She was so cross about it.
When will this ever stop? It’s so depressing.

What was be shouting? Why was he shouting?

Last week I took my daughter to a shop and as we were waiting to cross the road on the way back some bloke shouted something at me as the car sped past. No idea what. Not the first time it’s happened and I hate it as it makes me paranoid that I’ve got a massive hole in my trousers or something. The worst time was when laughing idiots yelled something as they sped past and also threw eggs at me and my then baby daughter in her pram. Absolute idiots.

Just put them down as idiots and dont let it get to you. How pathetic their lives must be to get a thrill out of this.

Sadly it’s nothing unusual. Doesn’t make it right by any means. I really have learnt the art of just really ignoring them. I used to get SO angry about it but now I just put it down to their pure stupidity and laugh it off. I remember once I popped to CO-OP for my lunch break. It’s a big co op and at lunch hour it’s very busy. I walked through the car park and there was a car full of what looked like construction workers and I heard one of them shout to me “wow look at the bumper on that” I was SO livid. I thought what on Earth makes you think you can just say that to a young woman walking alone! But like I say... it really does just show their stupidity and you got to let it go 😝

@AmyandPhilipfan the exact same thing happened to my mum. She was walking back from work and a car sped past and threw eggs at her. I mean what would posses someone to throw an egg at a 50 year old woman walking alone? Bloody ridiculous.
