If so, whereabouts and what’s it like to live there?
We have the opportunity to move and I’m undecided at present.

We are considering it for retirement

@Mydogisagentleman Which area are you looking at?

To the right of Faro.
Away from Albufeira

Which area are you considering moving to OP? Portugal is a fairly large country with varying terrain & weather. The interior around Coimbra for example is vastly different to the coastline around CasCais or Lisbon.

I live in Lisbon

What kind of questions do you have? You post doesn’t give much details on your family and employment situation, which will impact your needs.

I can’t remember the name of the place that we are interested in, my DH plays croquet and there’s a well regarded club there.
I would ask him, but I am currently at work.
I have one question, is the language very difficult to learn.
I honestly don’t want to be one of those people who expect other people to speak English

European Portuguese is challenging like all the languages. It’s completely learnable but don’t underestimate it. The grammar is complicated, a bit like French for example. I find the pronunciation challenging myself (reading is fine, listening not as easy)
