Does anyone know if toilets on trains and in train stations are currently open? Due to travel this weekend and I have ibs issues so just wanting to make sure toilets are accessible. Thank you.

I'm midlands. I'm not sure if it differs between areas or providers but I feel really anxious about travelling without knowing for definite. Can't find anything online...

The toilets at York station were open yesterday and I believe the toilets on the train I was on were open (Transpennine Express).

Why don't you contact the relevant train line and ask?

Macncheeseballs · 23/04/2021 18:33

Yes they are

MrsFin · 23/04/2021 18:44

Yes they are, at least on the Bristol > Paddington line and at those stations

nicknamehelp · 23/04/2021 18:51

Toilets on trains are open. If not open at station will open for you.

I did a return journey using 2 trains in each direction last weekend and all 4 trains had the toilets not in use which in "normal" times is rare for 1 train to have a toilet out of action!
I would say it depends on the train operators.
