Genuine AIBU...

I’ve been off work for a few days and in that time I had some time critical documentation to complete.

In my absence my line manager completed it; but when I went through the file; he’s written “completed by [his name]” on top of every document he’s done.

I asked why he’d done it; and he said it was so; when the file is audited; we can see who did what document.

Part of me thinks he’s making a dig about his workload and having to pick my work up, but I might be a bit sensitive as I’m still not 100%

Would appreciate thoughts?

To be fair, it is good for audit trail, we would do the same. Wouldn't say it's a dig, it was time sensitive and you weren't available, plus if there are any inaccuracies or problems they will rest with the signee not you.
