I'm nosey. So nosey. Love parking dramas, friends who borrow BBQs and to find out what %age of the population use a penis beaker. Which is why you will find me here, scrolling, for a good portion of my week.

Is there a podcast that's similar with gossip/agony aunt/real life hilarity I can listen to in an effort to reduce my screen time?

My husband doesn't mind washing up as he listens to the Irish History Podcast. I am not so virtuous. Help me love washing up too!

Dear Joan and Jericha (fictitious agony aunts).

Fnib · 20/04/2021 14:36

Did you ever listen to the AIBU podcast @BuyYourOwnBBQGlenda
It's hilarious!

Sparrowfeeder · 20/04/2021 14:39

Fortunately... with Fi and Jane

BuyYourOwnBBQGlenda · 20/04/2021 14:42

No @Fnib I didn't know there was one! Thanks for the recommendations. Excited to check them out tonight.

Oh my goodness thank you for this thread! I love a good podcast but love mumsnet too. To be able to combine the 2 would be genius!

Fnib · 20/04/2021 15:27

@BuyYourOwnBBQGlenda I use Spotify and I just checked, and AIBU is on there if you search. Last episode was 2019 but still had me crying with laughter sometimes.
Depending how old you are, you might also enjoy Older and Wider too, with Jenny Eclair and Judith Holder. I found them through a thread on here and they make my Fridays brighter.
Also, perhaps, The Guilty Feminists podcast.
Happy washing up!

BarbaraofSeville · 20/04/2021 15:48

Second Older and Wider. It doesn't matter that they're in their 60s, they still say fuck quite a lot.

Scummy Mummies is good too and there's about 200 of them, so will keep you going forever.

Oh my gosh fortunately is the way to go! I’ve been listening since it started and there must be 4 years + on bbc sounds

BuyYourOwnBBQGlenda · 20/04/2021 19:54

Thanks all, excited to try one at bedtime tonight!

DH and I enjoy Gossip Mongers occasionally. It makes me laugh so hard I cry.

Shagged Married Annoyed is a good representation of the filthier side of Mumsnet. If you enjoyed penis beaker it’ll be right up your street Grin

msmandolin · 20/04/2021 20:15

I like Feminine Chaos - Kat Rosenfield and Phoebe Malz-Bovy. It used to be on blogging heads but they've recently gone independent!

EvilOnion · 20/04/2021 20:41

@Sammysquiz I agree, love Shagged, Married, Annoyed!

MoFoFlo · 20/04/2021 20:48

Ellie and Anna Have Issues is hilarious and very Mumsnetty.

bonfireheart · 20/04/2021 20:49

Katherine Ryan does a podcast, two episodes in and I'm really enjoying it. Although tbf the first one about her pregnancy was an eye-opener, the second one about her meeting her husband is really funny.

BikeRunSki · 20/04/2021 20:49

The podcast “At Least You Didn’t” has only been going a couple of months, but it is hilarious. It’s two women, good friends, unashamedly retelling their most embarrassing moments. They are both former radio presenters and tell the tales very well.

TheSpottedZebra · 20/04/2021 20:52

Can't you just let him enjoy his washing up, and you enjoy your sitting down MNing?

ElderMillennial · 20/04/2021 20:55

Yes there was an AIBU podcast but it wasn't as good as the threads IMHO

Kangaroo1 · 20/04/2021 21:14

My two suggestions are shagged married annoyed and scummy mummies, but both have already been mentioned!
